It's that time of year again where your children have the opportunity to show off their talents in the arts! Whether your child is a film maker dancer, writer, musician, an artist, or a photographer, we encourage them to show off their skills. All entries are submitted online. Entries are now open! Mrs. Painter's class was learning about serving and supporting this month and so they decided to do a food drive.  Students donated food to give to a local foodbank. Keep up the GREAT work Eagles, you are AWESOME!

Recently we had our first 200 club winners announced during our morning announcements. Students who earn SOAR slips for good behavior get their name on the 200 board where they are entered into a drawing for prizes.  All students who win get a bookmark, book, and a prize of their choice.  Way to SOAR Eagles! We look forward to our next drawing very soon. 

Mrs. Anna Memmott's kindergarten class learned about staying focused on their goal and not letting anything distract them from achieving it.  The students also had the opportunity to share some goals they wanted to achieve this year.  Way to SOAR Eagles! 

Mr. Ekker’s class had fun serving and supporting Mrs. Hirst’s class by singing with them today. Mr. Ekker played the ukulele while the kids in both classes enjoyed the music and sang along.  GREAT job Eagles!

Yesterday we had some special visitors at Rees Elementary.  Almost 20 volunteers came to help paint some outdoor games on the blacktop. The United Way Day of Caring is an annual service project where local business volunteers come to help serve communities in their area.

We want to give a HUGE shoutout to Rees parents and faculty for making this years' carnival such a wonderful success.  It was so fun to see families, staff, and students interacting during our carnival.  THANK YOU to those families who came to support our school, we sincerely appreciate it!  Our Rees faculty really pulled together and worked hard to make this happen and we appreciate each one of them for their efforts.
