Gearing Up for School

Nebo students and families that have fallen on hard times and will be needing school backpacks and supplies this school year are invited to the Spanish Fork Tennis Courts at the fairgrounds, 475 South Main Street in Spanish Fork on Saturday, July 30, 2022, from 9:00 to 11:00 a.m.

Each school-aged child may receive a backpack filled with school supplies and other free resources that will be available at this event.

Backpacks are first come, first served, and there is no guarantee. Child must be present to receive a backpack.

Kindergarten Graduation

Last week, Rees kindergarten students performed for their graduation. It was so fun to see their smiles and hear some of the wonderful things they have learned this year.  Great job Eagles!! Keep SOARing and enjoy your summer break!

Nebo Free Summer Meals

Nebo is partnering with the Utah Food Bank again this year to provide free summer meals in four of Nebo School District communities. Fresh and free summer meals will be offered every Monday through Friday.

Who: Youth up to age 18
What: Fresh and Free Summer Meals
When: Monday through Friday, from May 31 - August 12, 2022

Springville Area: 12:30 to 1:30 p.m., Springville Splash Pad/Library, 45 South Main Street, Springville.

Utah State Board of Education School Meals Updates

What is happening?
The National School Lunch Program (NSLP) waiver that provided free meals to students is expiring at the end of the school year in June 2022.

This means that school meals will no longer automatically be free for everyone and you will need to submit an application to qualify for free/reduced breakfast and lunch.

Ways to Qualify for Free or Reduced Meals
Household size and Income
If you are taking part in assistance programs such as:
• Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program (SNAP)
