Our wonderful PTA teamed up with Rees teachers today to plan out the year and how they can serve Rees students through volunteer work, class activities and more.  We are so thankful to our PTA and all that you do to serve and support Rees Elementary.  If you would like to become a member of PTA, please contact any of our PTA board members HERE.

Mrs. Nixon's Class Learns They Can Do Hard Things

Submitted by heidi.groneman on

This week, Mrs. Nixon's third grade class talked about what it takes to have a class where we are kind, we help each other, and how we can do hard things. Instead of saying I can't, we say I can't do this YET, we ask for help and we work as a team. She gave the students a challenge to stack the cups without touching them with any part of their body. They could only use a rubber band and the yarn, and they had to work together. They all figured it out, and they were all excited and proud of accomplishing such a hard challenge
