Thank you students and parents for coming to participate in our Summer Send Off Parade! It was great to see so many smiling faces and to get to say goodbye to you for the summer.  A HUGE shout out to parents for your support with at-home learning, it was definitely a collaborative effort for all.  Remember to keep reading and practicing your math! HAVE A GREAT SUMMER REES EAGLES!

Farewell to Mr. Mendenhall

Submitted by heidi.groneman on

Mr. Mendenhall is leaving Rees Elementary after teaching here for 25 years! He has been an absolutely fabulous teacher and really knows how to engage his students with fun activities, group work, and technology. He is known for all his fun puppets, green screen, chess tournaments, and many other fun ways he encouraged and taught his class.  He will be missed here at Rees, but we wish him all the best as he transfers to Mt. Nebo to teach science. His coworkers had this to say about him:

Goodbye and Thank You Mrs. Wilson

Submitted by heidi.groneman on

Mrs. Wilson is leaving after teaching the past three years at Rees.  She has been an absolutely amazing teacher and coworker.  There has never been a time when she hasn't done her absolute best for her students and as a member of the Rees team.  She will be missed dearly, but we are excited for the opportunity that she has to transfer to Valley View Middle School in Salem and teach 6th grade.  No matter where she goes, she will do an absolutely phenomenal job! Her coworkers have this to say about her:

Mrs. Powell has worked at Rees this past year as the Speech/Language Pathologist.  She had done an amazing job with the students she has worked with! We are so sad to lose her, but know that she has great opportunities ahead of her.  Here is what her coworkers have to say about her:

"Colby was always so good to fill in the Written Prior Notice section for me during our IEP meetings and I always appreciated her help with any questions that I might have.  She was fast and eloquent."

Mrs. Crandall has decided to retire after working 26 years for Nebo School District.  She is an absolutely FANTASTIC teacher, coworker, and leader.  Anytime anyone needs anything, she is there to help, guide, or simply to listen.  Mrs. Crandall has put her whole heart and soul into trying to make a difference in the lives of her students and what a difference she has made here at Rees!
