On September 10th, Violet Reedy, a Kindergarten student in Mrs. Tew's class arranged to have her father come and visit. We talked about Patriot Day and how firefighters are heroes. We honored the firefighters and got to learn some fire safety rules and responsibilities from Firefighter Rob Reedy. We learned not to be afraid of a firefighter in turnouts. We watched Firefighter Rob put on all of his fire gear in less than 90 seconds. We learned to never play with matches and lighters and to never go back into a burning building to get something. We learned to stop, drop, and roll if our clothes catch on fire. We appreciate the things we were taught! Thank you firefighters everywhere!
