Rees students had a great time when Mrs. Luke's class helped the students in Mrs. Hirst's class make Día de los Muertos pictures. 

We hope you have a safe and enjoyable Fall Break.  School will resume on Tuesday, October 18th. 

For Fun Friday, the second graders played "Rock, paper, scissors, train." If they lost a round of rock paper scissors, they had to join the train of the winner until there was one massive second grade train. They had so much fun and were great at cheering on the front of their trains! 

Recently, the students in kindergarten to second grade had the opportunity to learn about the 5 Rules of Internet Safety during an assembly from Net Positive. The rules students learned were:

Recently, the students in grades third to fifth had the opportunity to learn about ways they can find digital balance and use technology appropriately.  Three things the students learned were:

1. No devices at bed time-they need plenty of sleep to grow and do well in school each day.
2. Set timers-when the timer is up go outside and play or do something else. 
3. Plan ahead for entertainment-Also, plan to do other things besides gaming and watching videos. 

Mrs. Harvey's class experienced a favorite picture book, The Little Old Lady Who Was Not Afraid of Anything. They read the story, acted it out, identified the Nouns, Verbs, and Adjectives, and practiced sequencing so they could retell the story to their friends. Happy Halloween!

Today Miss Wilzbach's second grade class talked about why leaves change in the fall and did a movement activity as the leaves. They used scarves to represent our leaves and they loved listening to the music and moving along with it. The students did a great job of controlling their movements to follow the music and represent a fall leaf!
