Rees Teacher Collaborate

Submitted by heidi.groneman on

Rees teachers are preparing for lesson studies for each grade.  Teachers in grades K-6 are working closely with our literacy coach, Shalese Rogers, to improve their small group instruction. In the next few weeks, grade levels will observe their teammates teach a lesson to a focus group in their class.  Today, all teachers collaborated across grade levels to create norms (expections) for all teacher as they learn together during this lesson study process. It was great to see and hear teachers talking and collaborating together. WAY TO SOAR REES TEACHERS!

Reading Rodeo Challenge

Submitted by heidi.groneman on

During the month of March, Rees students have a challenge to read a total of 390,000 minutes for the whole school.  Mr. Gull will be visiting with students and encouraging them to increase their normal reading time during this month and read AT LEAST 30 minutes a day.  Students who complete the challenge will have their name entered into a drawing to win prizes at the end of the month.  These prizes include new cowboy boots, hats, and pants.  Let's Aim High to Achieve students!
