Mrs. Montgomery's morning and afternoon classes enjoyed learning about manners and then putting their new knowledge to practice. The children dressed up in their nice clothes, looking like perfect little ladies and gentlemen. Mrs. Montgomery gave a lesson on manners and then Parent Helpers came in with a delicious traditional Thanksgiving feast. The children displayed good table manners such as waiting for everyone to be served before eating, putting their napkins on their laps, chewing with their mouths closed and not talking with their mouths full. They said, "yes, please" when their "waitresses" asked if they wanted each food item. Instead of saying, "No thank you", they tried saying, "May I try a little please?" The students talked quietly while they ate and spoke of pleasant subjects. They cut their own meat and did not use their fingers to pick up their food. They asked to be excused from the table when all were finished. It was truly a wonder to behold! Thank you parents who prepared this feastly experience for our very proper and polite children!
