It's a bird! It's a plane! It's actually a hot air balloon created by the Rees Elementary 6th graders. Our 6th graders wrapped up learning about molecules, density, and heat by designing and launching hot air balloons. It was a wonderful way to solidify key ideas and see scientific principles in action! Not only did the 6th graders enjoy it, but other students were amazed to see the hot air balloons out on the playground and floating by their classroom windows.
