On Friday, November 6th, second grade students visited the Springville Art Museum. This was a first for many of our students. We learned many different techniques and styles of different art forms. We even learned how to gesture draw with a tornado as a body! We’re so lucky to have this museum close to our homes.
Congratulations to Jeff Ballard for being the recipient the Crystal Apple Award! Mr. Ballard has taught for 30 dedicated years in Nebo School District. He has many roles here at Rees Elementary: a fourth grade teacher, leader of RAD drumming, the computer guru and more.
Congratulations to Mrs. Erickson’s students of the month from her morning class!
The Veteran’s Day assembly was held on Monday, November 9th. After the flags were posted, the second grade students sang “The Star Spangled Banner” in sign language. We were honored to have such great men who have served for our country visit us and tell about their service. Students were taught to do “one more” thing to be a better students, a better child, a better friend and a better American. Great job second graders and a big thank you to Veteran’s who have served and who are serving for our beautiful country.
