Miss Ledingham's class in 5th grade has the theme of Harry Potter. 26 people got invited to Hogwarts. We did the sorting hat and everybody had a blast. There are four tables in our class room and the names are...... Gryfindor, Hufflepuff, Ravenclaw, Slytherin. Gryfindor's are brave. Hufflepuff's are loyal. Ravenclaw's are smart. Slytherin's are ambitious. Ask your child which house they are in.

It was promised that if the school met their goal for raising more money for the American heart Association than they did last year, then Mr. Pitcher would put on a duck and strut ....or waddle during lunch. As you can see, our devoted principal kept his word! We are proud of him and the students and parents for working together to raise $7000 for a worthy cause!
We went to Heritage Park on May 11, 2015. We went to the park and started by riding the train and seeing the buildings that they have there. Then we went to the school and acted like we were back in the time of the pioneers. The school was only one big room. One of the main rules was that ladies always go first. The girls had to curtsy and the boys had to bow and then say their names. The Kindergarten classes honored their Mothers/Grandmothers on Friday, by showering them with handmade gifts and a picnic time at school. As you can see from the pictures, a good time was had by all!

Friday was the culminating act for the raising of funds for the American Heart Association. The children and teachers worked hard to meet the goal of raising more money than we did last year.
We made it and now Mr. Pitcher will be sporting a very stylish duck suit for an assembly. What a good sport!

In the fall of 2014, Rees Kindergartners visited jolley's Ranch up Hobble Creek Canyon to study nature in the Fall. Being junior scientists, these same Kindergartners returned to the ranch to observe the differences that Spring brings to nature. They found green grass, bugs, worms, birds, spiders, sticks, green leaves, and lots of fun! Lots of cute pictures were taken, but only these few would load because the website says the files were too large to upload. It's all that beautiful green grass and bright beautiful children taking too many pixels of color.
