When a winning class is announced, the students get to choose their form of Read-a-thon, as well as display the Golden Book in their classroom for the next 4 weeks.  The winning class for September was Mrs.

Rees Fourth Graders Visit Utah State Capitol

Submitted by Anonymous (not verified) on

The fourth grades at Rees Elementary were able to go to the Utah State Capitol Building.  This was a great experience where students were able to go on a tour of the Capitol Building.  They were able to learn about respecting the building and showing a reverent attitude toward it and what goes on there.  Students were able to learn about the process that a bill would go through to become a law.  This is a part of the curriculum that fourth graders learn.  They were allowed to go into the actual room that our state representatives are in and sit in their seats.
