Yesterday we had our annual jump-a-thon kick-off assembly. Students were sent home with an envelope to collect donations for the American Heart Association. Last year our school donated $8,195! Wow! This money goes to people with sick hearts-infants, children and adults. Our goal this year is to reach $10,000. We can do this with everyone’s help!
The incentives are a bit different than they have been in the past. This year, students will be working towards a school goal instead of an individual goal. Each school wide goal that is met, all students will be receiving the same award-a “puppy” (similar to last year’s duckies) along with a lanyard. The first goal is to reach $2,000. This can happen if each student brings in $3.50. Additional goals are listed on the forms that were sent home.
Envelope due date is Friday, April 29th. The Jump-a-thon will also be held on that same day in the afternoon.
