Fun Run at Rees

Submitted by heidi.groneman on

Recently Rees students participated in our annual fun run. It was fun to see the students outside enjoying some fresh air and getting some exercise. Afterwards, students enjoyed oranges and ice cold water. A HUGE thank you to our PTA and parent volunteers for helping with this fun event.

Congratulations Mr. Gull-Principal of the Year!

Our very own principal, Mr. Gull, was awarded Principal of the Year last week. We are all so grateful for all the hours and hours of hard work that he puts in every day/week to make sure our school runs smoothly. He is always thinking about what is best for students and how we can improve by "Working together to ensure ALL learners reach their full potential".  He also makes sure all the Rees staff is taken care of that that anyone coming into Rees feels welcome. Thank you Mr. Gull for always doing such an AMAZING job!

Fourth grade Rees Eagles ROCKED at the track meet this year! We ran some incredible races and had a lot of fun doing it. The students ran one or two races each, either a 50m, 100m, 200m, or 400m. They also competed in the softball throw and long jump. It was such a fun day and everyone had a lot of fun cheering each other on in their races.

Spanish Fork Library came to Rees to share the 2022 summer reading program. Students and teachers had fun participating in a few different activities during the assembly.  Be sure to mark May 17 on your calendar as the day you can sign your children up for summer reading.

Freedom Walk

Submitted by heidi.groneman on

Rees 5th grade students recently had the opportunity to spend the day learning more about veterans.  The students wrote about a veteran that they know and those were displayed so that other 5th grade students in Spanish Fork could learn about the lives of many veterans.

Rees Elementary is so grateful for all veterans and for their sacrifice in our behalf.

Submitted by heidi.groneman on

Rees students met their Rodeo Reading Challenge in April and read over 500,000 minutes in the month of April.  Because their met this goal,  students were drawn to throw "pie" in the faces of Mr. Gull and a few teachers. It was so much fun for everyone! GREAT JOB aiming high to achieve Rees students!  Keep READING!
