Like you, we are just learning that Governor Gary R. Herbert, State Superintendent Syd Dickson, and the Utah State Board of Education “announced today that Utah’s K-12 public schools will extend their dismissal [soft closure] through Friday, May 1st.”  Their press release further stated that they will “continue to evaluate the situation to make a determination about the remaining school year” and that:

Dear Parents:

In this ever-changing environment, Nebo School District is working hard to meet the needs of the children in our communities. Nebo School District’s Child Nutrition Department has received a fee waiver from the State Board of Education through the USDA. Therefore:

FREE NUTRITION PROGRAM for AGES 0 to 18

Just wanted to give a quick THANK YOU to our wonderful Rees parents.  Thank you for taking the time today to come in and pick up packets and Chromebooks.  Thank you for your patience as we continue in the process together.  We are so grateful for the support you are giving your children as they continue in their education journey.  Please don't hesitate to contact teachers or the school if you have questions or need assistance. 

Thank you for your patience and support as we navigate through this unprecedented time in education. We just want to keep you updated on what is happening in Nebo School District.

For the past couple of days and even through the weekend, Nebo teachers have been in training and preparing online materials and/or packets for their students for “at home” instruction.

**It is important students get Chromebooks and packets today**

1st-6th grade students follow the schedule below.  Go to the gym to get your Chromebook and then to your child's classroom to get specific things.

Students with the last name:

A-H will come from 1:00 - 2:00

I - P will come from 2:00 - 3:00

Q - Z will come from 3:00 - 4:00

Chromebooks and packets will be available for checkout Tuesday, March 17th.  We are staggering the schedule to reduce in-person interaction. The schedule is according to the first letter of your last name.    Please note the following schedule:

Tuesday, March 17th

• Kindergarten will come from 8:30-12:00 on the curb of the kindergarten drop off area.
