Mrs. Tew ~ 2nd Grade Teacher

Submitted by angie.keisel on

This is my first year teaching at Rees and my third year teaching.  I have 2 kids who are in 3rd and 1st grade here at Rees.  We all love it!  I really enjoy reading and music.  I love to go to concerts, but I also love staying at home and spending time with my kids and my husband.

Some fun facts about Mrs. Tew:

I like purple, but I don’t like yellow.

I like pasta, but I don’t like sloppy joes.

I like gymnastics, but I don’t like volleyball.

VIP Lunch

Submitted by angie.keisel on

When students show positive behavior, they are handed a ‘Thank You’ note and their name is written on the Principal 200 Club board.  When the board is full, names are drawn and prizes are handed out.  This has been a tradition at Rees for a few years now.  This year, a new piece has been added.  The first row to fill up gets to play games and eat lunch with Mr. Gull!  So fun!  Congratulations to these students!

5th Grade Experiments

Submitted by angie.keisel on

The fifth grade at Rees Elementary had a visitor from Discovery Gateway on Monday.  She came to do a review on Physical Changes and Chemical Reactions.  She did experiments that "WOW"ed the audience.  The students were given an opportunity to make their own reactions later in a small lab situation.

Ballet West

Professional dancers from Ballet West visited our school last week.  They taught us that dancing can be a professional job.  To be a dancer like them, one must practice good posture and practice – a lot!  Students were chosen to participate and try out some of tricky moves as well.  Thanks for coming dancers!

Mrs. Darrington - Title 1 Coordinator

I am a  mom to 4 kiddos- Ali age 21, Sarah age 19, Sam age 17 and Kate age 14.  I’ve been happily married to my husband Max for 22 years and we have lived in Spanish Fork that whole time.  I was  stay at home mom until my baby was in Kindergarten.  Then I started teaching part time as a resource teacher.  My administrator at the time encouraged me to look into administration, so after a lot of thought I applied to SUU.  I graduated in April 2016 with my masters of education and administrative endorsement.
