Kindergarten Authors Honor Mothers

Submitted by patty.tew on

Mothers felt very honored as they read the books their children had written about them.  They had every reason to feel honored because their children worked SO VERY hard to do their best work on the books.  Every page was filled with love and devotion in written and picture form.  The literary works were not edited for factual information, but that only added to the entertainment.  Also adding to the entertainment was the picnic lunches eaten inside the classrooms and outside on the threatening to get rained on grass.  A good time was had by all!

Jump for Heart Jump-Off Winners

Submitted by patty.tew on

The students of Rees Elementary and their teachers were able to reach their goal of raising $6000 for The American Heart Association.  Infact, they exceeded that goal!  The culminating event was the Jump-off where students (and a select group of well-fit teachers) contended for the trophies.  Winners in each grade level are pictured.  Mr. Pitcher is also pictured as winner of the teachers division...again!

Winners for 6th grade were David Skelton, Bennett Gordon, and Mel Wilson.

Kindergarten:  Gavin Gull, Jordon Hamberlin, and Sara Thompson.

Run for Fun?

Who would spend their Saturday running just for fun?  Many students of Rees Elementary and their families would.  So would many of their teachers.  Here are pictures of some of the participants.
