Jump for Heart Jump-Off Winners

Submitted by patty.tew on

The students of Rees Elementary and their teachers were able to reach their goal of raising $6000 for The American Heart Association.  Infact, they exceeded that goal!  The culminating event was the Jump-off where students (and a select group of well-fit teachers) contended for the trophies.  Winners in each grade level are pictured.  Mr. Pitcher is also pictured as winner of the teachers division...again!

Winners for 6th grade were David Skelton, Bennett Gordon, and Mel Wilson.

Kindergarten:  Gavin Gull, Jordon Hamberlin, and Sara Thompson.

Run for Fun?

Who would spend their Saturday running just for fun?  Many students of Rees Elementary and their families would.  So would many of their teachers.  Here are pictures of some of the participants.

Afternoon Kindergarten Jolley Ranchers

The weather held out for the afternoon Jolley Rancher, also.  They had a great time.  There were several pictures from this group that could not be loaded into the website because the files were too large.  If you know a picture was taken and it is not here, you could notify Mrs. Tew at patty.tew [at] nebo.edu and she can email it to you.  :  )

Jolly Good Time at Jolley's Ranch

Submitted by patty.tew on

For a jolly good time, just take a bus load or two of great Kindergarten children and their parents up hobble Creek Canyon to Jolley's Ranch.  There are many things to look for and many things to do.  kindergartners looked for shapes and alphabet letters in nature.  They listenend for all they could hear and looked for all they could see.  They searched for many things on their lists and found many other things that were not on their lists.  They chose a stick and used it to create a picture.  They made foam insects, ran races, and constructed bird callers.&nbs
