Students from the fourth, fifth and sixth grade classes performed on Friday, November 13 to share what they had learned during the two weeks of Artists in Residency at Rees Elementary.  Students were able to choose between 4 different art forms: visual arts, musical theater, storytelling, and creative movement.  Each art form enriched students’ knowledge, abilities and talents.  Some groups performed on stage while other projects are displayed at the school.  Thank you to the artists who spend so much of their time preparing and teaching the students at our school.  Everyone did such a wond

On Friday, November 6th, second grade students visited the Springville Art Museum.  This was a first for many of our students. We learned many different techniques and styles of different art forms.  We even learned how to gesture draw with a tornado as a body!  We’re so lucky to have this museum close to our homes.

Veteran's Day

The Veteran’s Day assembly was held on Monday, November 9th.  After the flags were posted, the second grade students sang “The Star Spangled Banner” in sign language.  We were honored to have such great men who have served for our country visit us and tell about their service.  Students were taught to do “one more” thing to be a better students, a better child, a better friend and a better American.  Great job second graders and a big thank you to Veteran’s who have served and who are serving for our beautiful country.
