Laverne is retiring after working for Nebo School District for the past 17 years. She has been a wonderful member of our Rees team and she will be greatly missed! Here are some memories and thoughts from coworkers:
"A memory that came to mind about LaVerne, is how much she cared for the kids. We went to the Aquarium in Draper last year on a preschool field trip. LaVerne was so nervous that one of the kids would get lost that she suggested we team up and go together throughout the day with our little group we were assigned to watch. Having more kids with us was so much fun. I also got to spend some quality time with LaVerne laughing and talking. It was a really nice day. I will miss her. She is an amazing friend."
"Mrs. H has been working as a technician in the preschool at Rees Elementary. The students and teachers have loved working with her! One of the favorite things that the students have loved doing with her is singing songs. She is so fun to watch with the students. She gets into the songs and puts actions to the words so that the students are having fun and laughing while learning. She has such a big heart and is always willing to serve others. She has been amazing to work with and will greatly be missed by the students and faculty! Good luck Mrs. H on your new adventure in life!"
