We are sad to see Laura leaving Rees.  She has been a wonderful part of our Rees team for the past 8 years.  Laura is always willing to help whenever she is asked. Coworkers said this about Laura,

"I always say Laura is my right hand gal and my better half! She is so organized and thorough in her work. She is great with the kids and I know I can always rely on her! She’s always good for a laugh and I know I can go to her with anything! I will miss her but I know she is going to be one good teacher!"

"Every year we do a unit on Nursery Rhymes and we end our unit with Nursery Rhyme Dress up Day and the egg drop.  All of the students pick a Nursery Rhyme that they can dress up as a character from and recite it to the class.  Laura always picks a nursery rhyme and dresses up as a character.  Some of my favorite ones that she has done are:  The Farmer and the dell, The Muffin Man,...The kids all love it and I love to see what she comes up with."

"Years ago, Laura and her husband Andy, gave me this hand-carved plaque that Andy had made for teacher appreciation week at the end of the school year. It continues to hang in my classroom as a daily reminder of how to keep my own bucket full. They taught me that when you're sanding and finishing a wooden project, if you focus on sanding the edges, you'll also sand the center of your project. By focusing on students, we also benefit and strengthen ourselves as we help our students build their own educational, emotional, and mental foundations.  It's a great memory and lesson! Thank you for everything!"

We are excited for the opportunities ahead of her as she finishes her teaching degree.  BEST of LUCK Laura! You will be missed!
