Mr. Mendenhall’s class was taught a Native American Unit by Shoshana Begay this past November, in honor of Native American Heritage month. Shoshana is from the Navajo tribe, and is a teacher in Nebo Title VI Indian Education. She loves teaching about her culture, and she wanted to teach other students about true Native American cultural as to avoid any misconceptions. Mr. Mendenhall’s class had the opportunity to learn about Native American contributions, clothing, music, dwellings, beliefs, famous individuals, and arts and crafts! Students also got to research a specific Native American Tribe and present it to their class.

Teachers, students, and parents are welcome to go look at the Native American projects created by Mr. Mendenhall’s students down by his classroom.
