On the night of May 4, sixth grade hosted a "Star wars" night.  It was a great activity to complete our week of science and space studies.  Students came to the school from 8:00-10:00 pm to enjoy Nachos, treats, music and a little football.  When it became dark enough, students were divided into three groups and went to stations designed for real-world exploration of the night sky.  Station One had students looking through telescopes at Jupiter.  Station Two had students looking for and identifying constellations in the spring sky. Station Three had students looking at the moon with binoculars and discussing the maria "dark marks" and the rippling effect of the craters.  Students had a fantastic time!
