Rees Elementary has heart!  For many years our school has participated in the American Heart Association's  Jump Rope for Heart fund raiser.  We do not want the tradition to stop and would like more participation than ever!

To kick off the event, an assembly was held.  Many jumping savy students showed tricks that can be done with jump ropes.  They have been practicing before school for a long time.  You could tell, because they were very tricky and skilled!  They got us all in the mood to take better care of our hearts by doing regular aerobic exercise like jumping the rope.  We saw a video of children who have been helped with their sick hearts through the money that is raised from our school and others.  We all determined to each bring some donations to help out.  Please contact friends and relations to help this worthy cause!

The culminating event will be held Friday, April 26th at 1:00.  We would like all donations to be turned in then as we begin the jump rope events for the day.  We will end the day with a jump-off where students compete by grade level to see who can jump the longest without missing.  Watch for the results to be announced.
