Celebrities Visit Rees To Celebrate Reading

Students at Rees Elementary School are encouraged to read as much as they can at home.  These students know that the best way to become a great reader is to read!  In an effort to reward those students who are doing their best reading at home, the principal Mr. Ryan Pitcher organized an event called "Reading with Celebrities."  Teachers selected students that were great examples of reading at home and sent them to eat their lunch, read books, and play games with various community members.  There were members of the Maple Mountain football team, cheerleaders, and a break dancer.  Students were excited to learn about how important reading is in the lives of these great examples.  We all appreciate the time they took to help motivate young students to read.  Thank you students for all the hours and hours of reading you do at home!
