First Graders and Preschool have the opportunity to study Life Cycles first-hand with their caterpillars. They are delivered less than a half-inch, and grow to this size within 10 days. At this point they will climb to the top of the container and look for the perfect roosting spot. (picture 1)
After 10 days of gorging themselves and shedding their too-tight skin several times, they have made their cocoons to transition to the butterfly phase. This process will take 7-10 days. (picture 2)

Our very own Mr. Burraston, AKA "Mr. Jimmy," received an awesome award today. Jimmy was awarded the Outstanding Support Staff by the District 10 PTA. Anyone who knows Jimmy knows what an amazing person he is. Not only does he scrub and shine the school, he does it with a giant smile. He is a delight to work with and we appreciate everything he does to make sure Rees is a safe and happy place to be. We love Mr. Jimmy!!
Mrs. Harvey was recently recognized for her outstanding service with the Crystal Apple Recognition. We appreciate Mrs. Harvey and her dedication to being a wonderful teacher and employee. Congratulations!!
We are extremely proud of these 6th grade students for their hard work at the district science fair. All of them won and have advanced to the next level at BYU. Congratulations!!!
