If you look closely, you will see the hands of 600 plus Rees Elementary students who have pledged to live the SOAR motto this year.  "S" stands for Serve and Support others, and this week students are learning what that means with daily lessons in their classroom.  REES EAGLES SOAR!!!

Rees Elementary students were welcomed back to school by this years Student Council members.  The Student Council walked around greeting students on the first day of school to introduce themselves and pass out a treat.  Council members encouraged students to S.O.A.R. this year by asking students to "Follow My Lead".  Student Council members include:  Jayden Kennedy, Jaynee Tanner, Ava Young, Lily Mason, Olivia Huff, Jake Strunk, Zack Moulton, KayLynn Kelly, Denton Mills, Jett Knowlden, Pieper Duvall, and Nolan Staheli.  We are looking forward to a wonderful year!

REES EAGLES SOAR

Rees Eagles S.O.A.R!  This year Rees is implementing a new PBIS (Positive Behavior Intervention Support) using the acronym S.O.A.R.  In our opening assembly we learned that S stands for Serve and Support, O stands for Own our Actions and Words, A stands for Aim High and Achieve and R stands for Respect.  As part of the kick off event, students had an exciting visit from Sundance, a Golden Eagle from the Great Basin Rehab located here in Spanish Fork.  They were able to learn some neat facts about Eagles that go along with S.O.A.R.

The school has been a buzz with lots of happy children and excited teachers today.  We are so thrilled to have all of our little Eagles back in the nest for another great school year.  As Mr. Gull and Mrs. Darrington walked through the school this morning, there were classes learning procedures, taking tours of the school, playing get to know you games, reading books, learning about super hero powers, and even getting the wiggles out with a quick dance party.  It has been a GREAT day!!!
